The UAE Ministry of Economy opens its headquarters in the Metaverso

MINISTRY OF ECONOMY EAU METAVERSO – The web is increasingly turning towards its version 3.0. Web3 is an idea for a new iteration of the World Wide Web based on blockchain technology, incorporating concepts such as decentralization and a token-based economy on which the Metaverse is also based. Everyone wants to join, including governments and public administrations.

It is recent news that announces the location of the new headquarters of the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This Ministry has announced that it has opened a branch in a place easily accessible by anyone who has an internet connection: the Metaverso.

The project is part of the Metaverse strategy of the Dubai government, announced on 18 July 2022, which aims to create 40,000 jobs in the virtual sector by 2030.

On 28 September 2022, during the Assembly of the Metaverso in Dubai, reports Gulf News, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, made those present a first tour of the new headquarters of the Ministry.

The participants had a first look at the two plans that make up the new headquarters, which also include;

• an auditorium capable of hosting virtual conferences and other events;
• meeting rooms that allow users to share a screen;
• offices to welcome visitors.

Within the spaces of the headquarters of the Metaverso of the Ministry it will be possible to carry out all those activities that take place in the two physical locations. Visitors can claim the attention of an employee of the structure by milking a ticket. Among the possible options is also to sign legally binding documents.
