Discovering AWS: The new AWS Region will be based in Zurich

AWS NEW EUROPE REGION – By the end of 2022, AWS will open a new region in Zurich that will offer more than 200 advanced cloud services and sub-services. The new AWS Europe Region (Zurich) offers advanced cloud technologies that enable opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship and digital transformation. Developers, startups and businesses, as well as public administration bodies, educational institutions and non-profit organizations can take advantage of the new AWS Europe Region (Zurich) to run applications and serve its users across Switzerland with lower latency while maintaining full ownership and control over content hosted on Swiss territory.

Claranet Switzerland in collaboration with Ated ICT Ticino has launched an event called “Discovering AWS” to try to explore together with participants better how the new AWS Europe Region (Zurich) works. In particular we will try to understand:

how to use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to improve business processes
how to use the Cloud to improve the reliability and scalability of your applications and optimize costs
how to benefit from AWS security and compliance services.

Waiting for “Discovering AWS”, to understand what are the advantages of adopting the AWS cloud, what are the Swiss companies that already implement these services and which recipients can benefit from this ecosystem we interviewed Daniele Madama, Managing Director of the Swiss headquarters of Claranet, Amazon Authorized Instructor, and speaker of the information event.
